This is a repost of something I posted over at Ableton Lite in this forum. here:
https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?p=1825252
"I've been wrestling with DAWs and Ableton Lite for years and I'm about to consider moving into the Introduction version or beyond. I see on the purchase page https://www.ableton.com/en/shop/live/ that Ableton lists each version according to what it has compared to the other versions. I would like to see the Lite version included there to see what I am getting when I move into the other paid versions.
But I wonder if such an inventory is available elsewhere. Anyone know?"
And also,
"These kind of comparisons are very common in browsing features in many, many kinds of products. Sometimes it is actually a program feature of the web page. I recently purchased a bicycle using the same comparison feature to help decide. And Ableton has done the same thing for all its Live products except the Lite version both here,
https://www.ableton.com/en/shop/live/
and as in the previous post,
https://www.ableton.com/en/live/compare-editions/
They just need to add the Lite version to the list."
I'd like to see an inventory of differences between the Lite and Introduction versions

Lite as you're aware is not for sale and is provided with other software and hardware, as such comparison with paid versions is a moot point.

It's not for sale because it is free. You don't have to purchase anything to get the free version, https://www.ableton.com/en/trial/. And why would you upgrade to a paid version without knowing exactly what you are getting moving into a paid version? And how do you judge the free version without knowing what you don't have that you get in a paid version?S4racen wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 8:43 amLite as you're aware is not for sale and is provided with other software and hardware, as such comparison with paid versions is a moot point.
