Clip automation view jumping to different views automatically?

When I try to edit a clip that has several automated parameters, the view in the Envelopes tab keeps jumping around and displaying different parameters. It seems to do so according to the note being played back, almost like an automation 'follow' view setting is engaged. This is very annoying when trying to edit specific parameters and listening to playback. Do I have some kind of setting engaged, or is this a bug?
