Push 2 Chord Mode
Re: Push 2 Chord Mode
Yes please +1.
Actually dumbfounded this hasn't been implemented yet. It's a no brainer.
Did a google search to check if this was a feature which would mean a slam dunk for a Push 2 purchase. But it doesn't have it so I think I'll hold off buying the Push.... disappointing actually. Push takes up too much real estate not to have this feature. MPC Live has chords with only 16 pads.

This would absolutely love this feature. There should be and easy way of experimenting with Extended and borrowed chords within a key on the push 2. There are so many other devices and scripts that build this function in. It is hard to believe Ableton has not enabled this option.
Re: Push 2 Chord Mode
For everyone that is tired of waiting- check out either Cthulhu or scaler 2

Re: Push 2 Chord Mode
Yeah absolutely both are great.
Still hope it's coming to live as stock tool. Just would be the right thing with live's creative session view approach and the push. They have a groove-pool, they have scales - so lots of chord-progressions browsable and playable on push are a no-brainer as weswook said above...

Re: Push 2 Chord Mode
Even the cheapest Controllers nowadays have Chord modes or chord record.
As proven by people such mappings are possible by non pros and not taking 5 years to implement and is highly requested and could be the time in version 11 now... to implement.
Akai MPC has a nice Chord mode which makes sense as it has less pads but they are awesome still.
So for automation and audio design, session, mode and mixing beside console push is fun and step programming.
But Chord mode is definitely missing...

Re: Push 2 Chord Mode
Jepp i.m.o. a chord function + lots of chord sets to browse from would have been more useful in a Live 11 for creative music making than "inspired by nature" M4L devices.

Re: Push 2 Chord Mode
As an interim solution (whenever / if ever a Push 2 successor is available) I use a Novation Launchpad Pro MK3 with it's Chords Mode.

However I'd prefer a Push 3 with knobs and displays!

Couldn’t agree more that this is amazing. This can’t be the reason why I need to keep my Launchpad pro mk3 around, can it?

Re: Push 2 Chord Mode
Seeing the Push 2 in front of me with all the buttons it is a bit odd that there is no chord mode yet. Because it would be THE device for that...
Very often seemingly easy changes are much harder to implement. But is the case of a chord mode there would be no realtime DSP audio programming or what not knowledge neccessary. Tight integration with the software is already there (not having to put Cthulhu on another midi track). There is even the scales mode well implemented. The pads are literally calling for one-finger-chord progressions. Ableton could provide a ton of interesting progressions each layered over the 64 pads. maybe Live 11.5? sw solution or a next push? ... we'll see

Re: Push 2 Chord Mode
I cant believe the push 2 seems forgotten about with no firmware upgrades. The launchpad pro mkiii is awesome, I just which the push 2 would add this chord mode
Re: Push 2 Chord Mode
ableton 12- any hope for improvement?
