a way to turn off all devices in a group (not just the track?)

Post by Teace » Fri Nov 08, 2024 2:31 pm

Hi everyone, is there a way to turn off all devices in a group (not just in a track) with the click of one button (or automation)?

Tnx!

Group all the devices.

I think OP means all devices in all tracks that are grouped, and all devices in the group buss track. You would have to do that with M4L. The new Performer device could do that I guess. Or construct something with Modulator devices, like Shaper or Envelope.

Ha ok.
If using midi or keystrokes, you can also map the same message to several devices.

Oh, of course. Where are the days? I hardly do that nowadays, since Push.

tnx everyone. I am aware of midi mapping. This is the case: I am playing a live set, where every track is a new group with samples, live synths, live audio,+fx etc. When I go to the next song I need a fast and efficient to shut down all of the devices in that specific group to go the next song.

open Live, go to Packs in the browser, you'll see 'available packs', download and install 'Performance pack by Iftah'.
that is in Live 12, not 11
maybe https://maxforlive.com/library/device/1 ... 20to%20Map is something for you

unforunately I cannot discover a function like that. Ar you guys aware of any other Max4Live devices or other workarounds?

tnx, but none of these solutions work unfortunately after checking them out. I need a device that shuts down all devices in a group...
