Midi from Ableton (MIDI feedback)

Hi,
it's a long time question !

I have a novation sl mk3, I mapped the 8 endless encoder in a instrument rack
When I turn the encoder all work fine.
But if I recall snapshots with different dials position in Live the novation doesn't update the encoders position.
I setup IO for the novation in the MIDI preferences.

In the same time I'm doing the same thing with Open Stage Control and it's work like a charm.

Is this a limitation from novation or ?

Hi,
if I understand you correctly, you created a custom MIDI Mapping in Ableton for the encoders (Ctrl/Cmd + M)?
The idea of the Novation control script is, that it automatically displays and maps the first 8 parameters of the selected device (i.e. your instrument rack), then it also automatically updates the encoders. It works fine for me when I try it this way.

I'm not using the novation as a control surface mode, but as user mode.
In fact I have also made the same test with Arturia.
