the most basic missing feature on PUSH

Post by donito » Thu Nov 28, 2024 4:20 pm

SONG MODE!
every major groovebox/sampler has it since the 80's. MPC has a song mode. Maschine has a song mode. no need for the live full arrangement mode, just a song mode that we can sequence the clips like a song, instead of having to do it "live" like this is the intro now I have to push a button to to to the verse, then the chorus, WTF is that ? when you making a song you want to get to the point that you relax and just press play to hear what you just did. Push have so many advanced features and that's very nice but if you forget THE BASICS how can all the advanced features be useful ? how they managed to get to the version 3 of push without it ? I guess that wasn't a standalone until now, so in front of the computer you can always just use the arrangement although NOT IDEAL, if you want to work like I used to work on the maschine mk3, not using the mouse and keyboard so much. but for a standalone device is kind of mandatory, no ? I can't understand it.

Our Follow Device can use a blank clip to define the length of the scene playing the next below when it reaches it's end if you're looking to automate Session View on the Push Standalone.

I appreciate the effort and time you put on that, and I see the utility that can have for some people. But it's too much steps and installation and learning curve for what I see as a Song Mode, that is a simple, simple, simple way to sequence the scenes, as simple as 1-2-3-4-5 or 1-2-3-3-2-1 like it could even be a numeric selector to just write a sequence as I just did. Like my MPC2500 used to do, just select a sequence of sequences (the mpc scenes), and hit "play song". That's ridiculously simple, I can't believe the push users accept that it doesn't has it. People must not making songs with it. In fact we don't see too many producers that really release music using push. In fact some doesn't accept that and migrate to other devices, as I may do eventually if it doesn't gets addressed correctly. I don't want to pay for a third party plugin to do a complicated workaround for a simple simple simple simple simple simple simple simple thing. Thank you.

The product manager of Push said recently on the centercode forums that they are working on something for this.
