No sound from keyboard
No sound from keyboard
Hi, new user of Live 10.
I can hear metronome and example sounds, drums etc... in LIVE.
I then activate the Keyboard symbol top right and hit keys A S D F G etc... and can see a visual levels response in some channels but NO sound actually to be heard from laptop?

Make sure that there is an instrument loaded on the MIDI Track, the Track is armed and Track Monitor is set to Auto. Hope this helps!
Re: No sound from keyboard
if you an see audio in tracks in Live then make sure that track is sending audio to MASTER.
it might be that your headphone output is working and your main output is not routed correctly in your computer's or your sound card's settings.

Hi
As a super newbie I had the same issue ...Almost drive me crazy that it's impossible find an answer ... Well It was a stupid little f... error of changing OCTAVE of the Current Keyboard (with Z and X) ... so if the instrument you play ( like drums ) is only set in the C2 to D3 octave .. you have to set your keyboard to thi octave to heard the instruments...
My example : with drums 808 core Kit ---you need to be in C1 to D2... if not ...you have signal but no sound

I'm having the same issue but changing the octave didn't fix it...
I can use the draw mode to record and the audio works... but when I use the asdf keyboard, the program records the notes and registers the input, but no sounds comes through.

I was having this problem, and the "Auto" Monitor setting wasn't working. After switching it to "In," I could hear the sound.

Amazing how this one little slip on the keyboard has cost me hours and hours of headache - thank you so much! Now - to all the video tutorial makers out there, please remember to include the simple things (like this) that can throw off a newbie. I was already frustrated with the steep learning curve with Ableton, and this nearly pushed me off the edge!
Re: No sound from keyboard
AFAIK, when you open Live for the 1st time ever, the right-hand side panel opens up and shows you many stuff, including the integrated Lessons... You can't blame others for you not doing your homework

And, if you missed those integrated tutorials/lessons, just go to Live's Help menu and then click the "Help window/view" entry.

None of these suggestions have worked for me. I’ve tried it all. Help!
