MIDI Drums are a problem in Ableton.

Post by tpq94 » Sat Jan 18, 2025 1:12 pm

Having switched from FL Studio to Ableton this has been a very obvious problem with drums in Simpler. The drums click and sound awful especially on Hi-Hat Rolls and 808 rolls. Take a listen for yourself in the examples below...

It's clear that Ableton processes MIDI notes in a different way, as this does NOT happen when using any other Drum Sampler like Battery 4 or Sitala.

Why does this happen, and is there a way to fix it?

I found someone else having the same issue, and its driving me mad trying to fix it.

Any help would be really appreciated!

set voices to 2 or more, and disable Retrigger "R" should do it.
copy the text, open Live > drag in empty M4L device > open Max editor > paste > save M4L device
