I don’t have a Move. I can’t find a definitive answer.
Can I send midi notes to the Move on a per channel basis. For instance, send midi channel one to track one, midi channel two to track two, etc.
Can I send four unique midi channels to tracks 1-4 on the Move simultaneously?
Thanks!!
Midi Channel per Track
Re: Midi Channel per Track
Not currently, no
You are only sending midi to the currently selected, in-view track on the move.
And that goes for output as well. If you have a Novation Launchpad which also has 4 macro tabs, you can't correspond them 1 to 1 with the move
You could send multiple external midi sequences to the same track on move, but that's not a scenario which you outlined, I'm simply volunteering this.

Re: Midi Channel per Track
We need to request this as a feature/fix. You can’t include the move in a live setup if you can’t specify the channel(s) it receives on. For example - I am trying to have it receive from a key step pro and it plays everything from every channel - it’s insane.

Re: Midi Channel per Track
I very much concur we need at least some basic MIDI utility features!
I'm trying to run the MOVE while powering a Launchpad Pro mk3 off the MOVE's USB A output and am constantly running into the issue of the LP3 triggering sounds on the MOVE.
I'm successful at using MIDI Sync from the MOVE to control the tempo and start/stop of the rest of my mini jam setup composed of various volcas, airas and Sonic Ware Liven boxes.
But at least a basic way to filter out note messages on the input and output would improve things massively.
