Push 3 and Omnisphere Mod Wheel

Post by yesbloom » Thu Jan 23, 2025 11:30 pm

Hello everyone. First post here. Stoked to be a part of this community now.

Im running Ableton 12 and a Push 3 and I have the Omnisphere 2 VST. I’m curious about mapping the “mod wheel” that many Omnisphere patches have as an option to one of the encoders along the top of the Push 3. I typically use an Instrument Rack to program Macros for controlling Cutoff, Resonance, Sustain, etc. However the mod wheel tab in the system menu of Omnisphere does not have the “enable host automation” option. When I click the option in the system menu to “move midi controller”for the mod wheel the Push 3 encoders are not being recognized by Omnisphere. Help please?

'move MIDI controller' only responds to the touch strip of Push. But you don't need mapping to send mod wheel signals.

You can use the Mod Wheel dial of the CC Control Device; directly or mapped to a macro. This way, you can use the encoders on Push.

CC Control is a native MIDI device that comes with Live 12.
