When I have multiple tracks in arrangement view, all the same length (ie from recording a live band performance) and I select a specific track (ie a drum track) to mark the actual first beat of the first measure by selecting the new spot the song starts - let's say after a silent section, then right clicking and choosing the option to "Set 1.1.1", how do I stop Ableton from trimming off the silent section of that drum track (prior to the new 1.1.1), then time shift the track back to align with the other tracks original starting point (those other tracks still have the silent section) and then Ableton warps that drum track so it stretches to align with the other tracks..
I don't want any warping. I just want to set a new 1.1.1 for all the tracks globally so the play head starts after the silent part with all the tracks aligned to start at the new measure 1.1.1. I know I'm missing something here since I'm brand new to this DAW.
Using Ableton Live 12, with warping turned off on all tracks and also in the Preferences/settings.
