Chord Explorer for Push 3 Standalone

Post by oddeo » Fri Oct 18, 2024 3:08 am

Does anyone have a M4L device recommendation for creating chord progressions on the Push 3 in standalone mode?

Ideally, something that enables someone to explore chord variations and combinations in a relatively intuitive way, and then be able to record or sequence a progression fluidly on the fly. No computer screens or mouse clicks, just smooth Push 3 UX. Something along the lines of Oxi One's chord mode workflow would be good, obviously adjusted for Push 3's workflow nuances.

Would love something that takes full advantage of Push 3 integration/takeover options. Where's Ian Dicke when you need someone to create an amazing flagship chord tool that takes full advantage of the P3's hardware and does so in a "it just works" way out of the gate?! Maybe someone already had created such a tool, and you're going to provide a link to the holly grail I've been looking for..right...about...now... 😉

I finally gave up and purchased an Oxi One. The Oxi does everything I was hoping for, and then some, but I still long for the day when I’m going it all from the Push. The hardware is primed, Max has the capabilities, now we just need a smith to bring the posibility to life. 🤞

this is so fucking sad -- tbh I find the instability of using m4l and workarounds a drag and hoped ableton would prioritize native implementations to push by now.

im starting to look at squarp hapax myself

The problem with M4L is that the API for the Push 3 is not fully exposed, this even if you are a wizard you cannot access certain functions
