Superior Drummer Multiout issues

Post by Jonathan.Edwards » Sun Feb 09, 2025 5:56 pm

Hi, I just switched to Ableton live 12 from Logic and am having issues getting Superior Drummer 3 multiout to work the way I want it to. I have 2 questions.

First, is it possible to have SD3 playback without having the monitor set to "in" for the track? I use the midi sequencer inside SD3 to write my parts. Since the track monitor is set to "in", it causes drum sounds to play back even when I'm using other virtual instruments.

Second, is it possible to freeze the multiout tracks from SD3? Right now it won't let me cause it says the monitor is set to "in". I share the project with my band member and he doesn't have SD3 so I need to be able to freeze the tracks so he can at least still hear what I've written.

Thanks in advance.

This is a little awkward but you should be able to create and audio track for each of the SD3 multi-outputs. Set the input for these new track to receive from the individual multi-out from SD3. Set the new tracks to record and record the whole whole song. You now have audio for your band member to listen to.
