Now, I'm wondering about some information I came across :
In the "Link, Tempo & Midi" tab I read:
Surface Control: No Device
Input: Keyboard MKII
Output: Keyboard MKII
I'm afraid it could be wrong...
I wish I could post an image here which would make this all much easier!
If
No Device is marked, that just means that you have not specified the Keylab as a control surface. If Live cannot see the Keylab connected the fields for Input and Output will be greyed out.
Look below in the section marked Input Ports and Output Ports with four checkboxes for each entry. Normally you should see the Keylab MkII in both sections with at least the Track box selected. If it is present but the box is NOT checked, Live will not accept MIDI input from it.
If it is not connected at all, there will not be an entry for it there. For example, if you try turning the power on and off a few times you should see the Keylab appear in that section when on, and absent when off.
So open up the Set you are working on and check the MIDI tab when you first power up the Keylab and then check it again if it stops working.
That won’t tell you
why it stopped working, just confirming that Live has lost the connection.
One thing to try just for the hell of it is to try some different USB cables.
