Trouble running third-party remote MIDI script

Post by vance_96 » Thu Mar 13, 2025 12:18 am

Hello everyone :)

I had trouble running the remote MIDI script for the MPC Studio mkII in Ableton. After following the recommendations on the website like naming the folder with the necessary files inside "MIDI remote scripts", it didn´t work out.

Hi vance_96

Looking at the FAQ for the MPC Studio, it looks as though you add it as a plug in not a remote script:-
How can I use the MPC Studio MKII on my DAW of choice?
The MPC Studio MKII is a great tool for any software of your choice! You have the ability to use the MPC studio MKII & its software on any DAW. To do so, you must make sure you properly authorize and install the MPC software onto your computer. During the software installation process, you will also install plugin files for the MPC Software (AU, VST, & AAX) From there, all you need to do is relaunch your software of choice, and have your software scan the MPC software as an instrument plugin.
I would check the installation procedure again.

I´m certain you can use it with the attached software inside Ableton. It works really fine as a companion with the VST, but other plugins won´t respond on it the way I´m used to. Thanks for your polite response, I tried fitting it the way you described, it didn´t work either.

I think there is a compatibility reason with my version of Ableton and this MIDI remote script. Frustrating ...
