Hi,
I would like to know if there is a way to select a device with a macro knob or button.
I searched for this without any luck…
I am using an Instant Twister max for live device but this does not map to “select device”.
So I figured if I can map it to a macro I can get Instant Twister to map to this macro.
Other ideas are welcome, thanks
Map “Select Device” to a Macro?
Re: Map “Select Device” to a Macro?
Macro's can only map to the parameters that their rack contains.

Thanks for the reply
Maybe I use the wrong phrase for macro…
There are several max devices that can map anything in the set but not to “select device”
Does anyone have a trick or knows how to do that?

Re: Map “Select Device” to a Macro?
Sounds like you’re trying to select a device with a controller? As far as I know that can only be done with a controller script. There wouldn’t be a way to do it from within live I don’t think.
Re: Map “Select Device” to a Macro?
Well you can map a button or key from a controller to select a device or group. No problem.
It is unfortunately not possible with the twister script I am using. It only maps to parameters I guess.
And if I map the device to note C5; can I map the script to something that sends note C5 and thus selects the device?
I tried this with some send-note-devices but I could not get it to work.
