Add one VST plugin

Is it possible to add only ONE new VST Plugin to the Plugin Folder without a complete rescan. In my configuration a rescan spends to much time.

Afaik no. It's already as fast as it can be without real complete rescan (alt+rescan button). In new versions a rescan is non-blocking, you can keep working until a plugin is available. You can use some vst subhost if you experiment with plugins and don't need them to be scanned into live
