Ableton together with Gig Performer

Hi,

I want to use Gig Performer along with Ableton live. By selecting a rackspace in GP, I want Ableton to select te correct locator in arrangement view.

I’ve setup a rackspace with the IAC driver block in GP and in ableton enabled the “Remote” setting for IAC in midi settings. In the IAC driver block in GP is also this: “Midi data to send when you switch to this rackspace.” Ive tried a few random messages (CC2, CC3, CC105), and then in Ableton midi-mapped them to the locator (and it’s receiving the message) but when I turn off midi mapping mode in Ableton and in GP select the rackspace, it does not select the locator. Am I doing something wrong, or is this method not possible?
The most important thing I want to achieve is by selecting 1 preset in GP, Ableton is ready to go. (And also, I don't have Maxforlive.)

Did you read the manual section about MIDI Remote Control?

I believe Locators are "Switches" that have specific behaviour w/ MIDI CC, for example needing "values 64 and above" to turn the switch on, it also depends on the kind of CC sent too (like absolute vs. relative).

Thank you. This was the solution. The CC value had to be above 64 to trigger the locator. Thanks!
