Inexplicably to me, my Push 3 Controller version is now only playing chords when a note is pressed. The layout also behaves weirdly: when a pad is pressed, it sometimes goes out or starts flashing at a high frequency, other pads flash at a slower frequency. It looks as if some arpeggiator is running without playing anything. When I play the instrument on the same track with another controller, everything is fine and back to playing notes again. Obviously, I've rebooted and created a clean live set with no effects etc. loaded. I did not use any MIDI effects that would lock pads to chords. I did experiment with Scaler 3, but I can't see how that would write a setting inside Push and not any other controller. I've deleted and re-initialised the preference files I could find,, but to no avail. Has anyone come across this issue and knows how to fix it without a factory reset?
Thanks a million times in advance. M

Update: The problem does NOT occur when I plug Push into another computer and it does NOT occur when I create a new Mac user. So, as it seems, I have a choice of reinstalling Ableton for the main user or reconfiguring everything (Christ!) for the new user, without having an idea of what the root problem was and how to prevent it from reoccurring.
