Using Abelton Live Suite 11, I have a Scarlett 414 interface and a Keystation 49es controller. I want to connect my old Akai S950 sampler so I can trigger samples from the unit. main goal is to record each sample digitally as I have a ton of floppy disks with breakbeats I would never find so I need to access them.
Any help here as I've been meaning to do this for a while so I thought I would ask.

Connecting an Akai S950 sampler
Re: Connecting an Akai S950 sampler
Connect your Akai sampler to the audio input of your Scarlett interface. Buy something like this: https://www.thomann.nl/swissonic_midiconnect_2.htm so you can play the Akai from your keyboard, next step is to sample the output of your Akai into Ableton

Re: Connecting an Akai S950 sampler
OK I have the midi - USB cable now I need to know how to set up the S950 and trigger it thru my Keyboard. It's the Abelton part I need help with as I already have my Scarlett controlling a CDJ 2000 which I would have to temporary disconnect while I use the S950 any help??
Re: Connecting an Akai S950 sampler
the 4i4 already have din midi, so why not just connect it to the S950?
