Request For Assistance: Configure Live Inputs to Address ADAT Channels

Hello!

I want to ask Live to see audio coming in from an external device delivering 8 channels of audio via ADAT, but I can't seem to get more than the first two channels into Live. I hope someone can elaborate!

SYSTEM:
Primary DAC is Universal Apollo X6. (It's working as expected for general purposes).
Secondary DAC is MOTU 896, attached to the Apollo by ADAT which I use for a specialty purpose occasionally.

CONFIGURATION:
- A laptop is successfully delivering 8 individual channels of audio to the 896.
- The 896 is successfully passing these audio channels to the Apollo via ADAT.
- The Apollo receives this audio on its ADAT-enabled channels 7 - 14

PROBLEM:
- I have activated input channels 7-14 in Live's Input Config pane
- Audio only appears on channels 5 & 6.
- 5 & 6 are line in channels that I have configured to receive audio (notionally as a stereo pair) from the X6

QUESTION:
- Can Live accept input from the desired channels at all? (aka "Does It Even Work That Way?")

ADDITIONAL NOTE:
- I have been able to successfully get this setup to function in Digital Performer 11, which I also use.
- (DP sees the output from Apollo channels 7-14 just fine.)

Happy to submit any missing details I have overlooked or clarify anything not clearly stated.

Update:

- Now it is working.
- I do not know how I managed this -- it simply happened.
- I apologize that I cannot offer more helpful information to others with the same difficulty.
