How can i take vocals out of a track to use them as sample?

Basically, you can't.

If the vocal is panned dead centre you can use some sort of audio processing to extract it from the track. Together with everything else that is panned centre. You then use eq to remove that "everything else". Like the kick. Will probably not sound too good.

you cant do it in live but it CAN be done.

you'll need 2 copies of the song. the regular one and an instrumental one that is identical to the regular one. MP3's WILL NOT WORK so don't try this trick on them. rip the 2 songs from disc in wav format. now put them both in your wav editor program and INVERT the instrumental version of the song. then you have to zoom in super super close and line the tracks up EXACTLY together so that they play at the exact same time. we are talking so close that god can't tell if it's perfect or not. if it's not perfect you're just going to get phasing. but if you get them lined up perfect then the instrumental version of the song is going to cancel out all the music from the regular version of the song and you're going to be left with an acapella with a few noise fragments here and there.

doesn't always work but it can and does on the right track.

only works if the instrumental is the EXACT same version of the song as the one with vocals.

EXACT

as in, same exact length, tempo. arrangement, instrumentation, mix, mastering process and from the same media (ie. cd, preferrably on the same cd).
the only difference can be the vocals existing on one and not the other.

yep. it's hard to fine stuff you can even try this trick on. but it's worth sharing. in my experience I usually only get phasing fx when trying it but I have achieved acapellas with LOTS of noise. it's just not my thing so I don't spend time doing it much.

I had same problem while doing Sting - Desert Rose booleg remix.

I just cutted Sting's vocals, EQed (just left the body) and used noise reduction with learning function (i used chorus clip without vocals for that)...

If you are doing dance/house/trance mix, you can achieve some nice results..
