Anyone Got A Favourite System Backup Program?
Hello,
Just out of curiosity, has anyone got a prefered system backup program like Ghost or Acronis? What do you like best? What works for you? Why do you like one over another? How reliable and efficient and any other relevant comments?
Thanks

Ghost is easy and works well for me.
It does seem to be a lot more bloated in newer versions from the old pre-Norton days. For some reason it now even has a stupid system tray icon which serves no purpose whatsoever. Still has never failed me though.

Ghost here as well, just saved my ass with it two seconds ago as a matter of fact....
I found my legit copy on Ebay for $10, well worth that little bit of cash.

I am the most unlucky person I guess.......I had ghost (most current version) and it just f******ed up my computer.
Plus to get my money back, I had to send it to australia.......I guess that's ok if you live there..........
I wish It would have worked.
btw.....it's the second norton/symantec product that has messed up my computer...........I believe I am cursed!

I believe it lets you make a boot floppy, and CD-R. At least, the more current versions do.Astral Fridge Magnet wrote:Thanks for the replies so far.
With Ghost does the program need to be installed or can you run the program from a boot floppy? Also, do you save to DVD or hard disk or both?
Are ther better alternatives? For example does anyone know about Acronis?
