an interactive CD-ROM that will include several hours of tutorials on the latest features in Ableton Live.
great for fast learning, and for folks who prefer visual demonstration.

the Live 4 CD-ROM had built in quizzing and a glossary.

you should know that the book "Ableton Live 5 Power!" will also include a small "LE" version of the CSi Master, with a couple examples to help you throw the book. However the full CSi Master CD-ROM will give you several hours of visual demonstrations.

Any clue how much has been added since the v4 power book. Probably just covered of the new features I would assume.

The power book by Chad & Dave for v4 was great BTW so I can definetly suggest the v5 book.

I would like to 'preview' a chapter or so from the book before buying it. I'm wondering if it is also interesting for someone who read the Live 5 manual several times?

Based on the v4 book it makes a nice addition to reading the manual. It elaborates and goes much deeper on some subjects than the manual itself. Lots of good power user tips etc.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this book,
ditto for the CSi Master CD-ROM.
In fact, I recommend both to the Live class I teach
(info here: http://andrew-duke.com/course.html).
And nope, I'm not connected to Chad Carrier or
Adam Jay or Brian Jackson (the man behind the
Live 5 CSi Master) and thus don't receive anything from
my "endorsement" :).

I purchased the book as well. Its very good and for once, I finally understand sample rates and bit depth. The book goes beyond Live and its well worth the investment. btw- I don`t even own Live, I`m still using the demo but its been an interesting journey nonetheless.
