Hi
I don't understand PDC in Live 5
1. Put one midi track with a Simpler
2. Put SIR reverb on a return track with some dry signals on it
3. play some notes on the midi track
4. latency compensation is "on" on options
You can hear the delayed signal in the return track.
What am I doing wrong ?
Thanks

First of all you can not use SIR while you are recording - the latency on it is massive: 8192 samples. If you play MIDI when you have SIR in it will be in the wrong place because Live has to make an enormous buffer for SIR
Second: I have been having trouble with SIR mixing as well, after a Live set gets big the PDC would stop working and there would be a delay, tried deleting and re-inserting the effect, no Joy.
Voxengo pristine space is better (but not free). For slower computers it has a lo-quality mode for tracking.

Agreed, but that's not my problem here.djsynchro wrote:First of all you can not use SIR while you are recording - the latency on it is massive: 8192 samples. If you play MIDI when you have SIR in it will be in the wrong place because Live has to make an enormous buffer for SIR
Yeah, I tried Pristine Space but SIR is freedjsynchro wrote: Second: I have been having trouble with SIR mixing as well, after a Live set gets big the PDC would stop working and there would be a delay, tried deleting and re-inserting the effect, no Joy.

Do you have the same pb with very simple set just like the one I described ?
Ableton ?
I think it is : you cannot have compensation while playing live. Only once your stuff is recorded can live calculate how much is needed to compensate.geoffroy wrote:Agreed, but that's not my problem here.djsynchro wrote:First of all you can not use SIR while you are recording - the latency on it is massive: 8192 samples.
