They may very well do so.
However they contribute 0% financially to the products development.
Simple fact.
My aren't the wings of butterflies beautiful and do they not make wonderful perturbations.....
All depends on how you look at it. Not talking about the morality of running software you have not paid for, but I fully agree that you have to be a real dick to go to a manufacturers website and participate in the forums when you are running a crack.Johnisfaster wrote:this ranks up there with that one guy who got mad cause anyone could download the live packs. come on guys...
To be honest, I don't really care that much about a registered only forum (aleast not at the moment), but if ableton decided to do something about it and make the forum for paying customers only I would not complain. I am sure they have thought this over though and have sound reason for leaving it the way it is.
???
What an idiotic idea, I have been lurking on this forum way before I bought my copy of Live 4 (and now Live 5). This place has been invaluable in my decision to take the plunge.
This should not only be a place for people who currently own Live, but also for people who are planning to.

Except when I forget to, I always remember a line from the Tao - "Who does not trust enough will not be trusted". I don't think we need to lock this place up to keep a couple of wankers out, in fact, I'd very much disagree with it. If someone has something valuable to contribute to this community, they can be recording to casettes for all I care. I don't think anyone is going to pay €x00 for Live to come here if they weren't going to (pay) anyways.

Does anyone feel like groundhog day round here sometimes??
Does anyone feel like that film with Bill Murray where everything goes round and round and every day's the same round here sometimes??
you got to learn somewhere - reaktor is a very hard programme to get into, the manual doesnt explain it all, and the bits it does are mostly way over yer head to start with. We were all theyr once, wether it be ablton , reaktor or whateveerMachinate wrote:The reaktor forum is a good point of reference. Massively expensive product, yet there are *still* wanker-n00b questions.
