Singapore is great you disgusting imperislists
What a bunch of rubish!
I believe it was stated that many people disagree with the punishment for the crime and the way the punishment was carried out. For an individual to go on the offense because of the freedom to speak ones mind is crazy. So, who is the imperialist telling us not to express our opinions? Ironic isn't it?
Oh, Ableton Live is the greatest software ever. Can I not say that either?

Ableton’s engineers are hard
at work developing code that will allow our software to predict the future, but we don’t
anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.

Coincidence? I doubt it.
I'm sorry. I have nothing valuable to contribute. I'm just a stupid American, who speaks and writes American English (not very well either, I might add.) But at least I'm trying! Right?

Err - what does any of this have to do with the rule of the people? I hate it when people abuse words like this. Sometimes it's funny (like how the word "ethnic" has come to mean "not Danish/'Western'" round here), sometimes it's just tragic.rikhyray wrote:There is nothing democratic in abusing in CAPS someones home country name, even on music software forum. singapore is a strange place. you do some graf... you get your ass beat, you sling drugs.. you die, you get busy with a 14 year old prostitute... that's ok. to each his own, man. if people want to live like that then they can live there. if they want to have freedoms in other facets of life, they can move somewhere else. no place is perfect.
Actually, beheading would be my choice if I were to be executed. Particularly with a guillotine. Quite instant, there's never been a single survivor of the guillotine in all of history (and the French have put those devices through the paces!). It's foolproof if constructed properly.Chris J wrote:I don't think electrocution, beheading, stoning, etc is any better, do you ?sweetjesus wrote: 3) they used one of the most cruel methods of capital punishment (hanging)
If I were diagnosed with a terminal, painful disease, the first thing I would do is build a guillotine, so I could control my own time and method of departure.
Now getting beheaded with a tulwar or a sword or an executioner's axe, that's less cool.
But of all of them, I think electrocution would be the worst. Stoning's pretty bad too. Compared to stoning and electrocution, hanging is practically humane.
That all said, I don't approve of capital punishment at all - I'm just commenting on the methods.

We all CHOOSE THIS LIFESTYLE. It makes no difference where we are situated in this global village. We are all humans and we are all responsible for EVERYTHING that happens.
Stop sticking up for countries and flags, it's stupid. Embrace the fact we are all humans and instead of pointing the finger, see what can be done as a whole to end what you dislike.
Stop judging, we have different morals and opionions of this existence. Who the fcuk is ANYONE to judge or say they are "right" and someone else is "wrong".

Is it all that rubbish written here, due to real reason, that is worry about cut supply lines. Drug dealer good boy, heroine healthier then beer, Singaporeans supporting pedofilia ???
The individuals who write that seem to be perfect living example where does it lead- the drug abuse. Hardly any gray matter left. If it is to be funny, then in very low kind of humor. Something terribly wrong with you. Sad, sad picture
Is it that the decadent West while going down wants to take the rest along?
Fell free to fuck up yourself, your family, your society, your home country but there are other cultures and civilisation that know healthier ways and have all the rights to defend them.

I have no interest in giving my real name to everyone out there. I appreciate some sense of privacy and anonymity. I don't feel cowardly for this at all. It also does not reduce the power of ones opinion by not revealing their information (hell Mrs. manners has done it for years) The only time that I can see when it becomes pertinant at all is when people's egos get involved and discussions become arguments. This is not a good enough reason for me to feel that everyone should show their ID at the door so to speak. Besides I wouldn't want the Pavoratis to all be following me.

I didnt realise, till i just googled what is the Glitter story, remember being allergic that bloody song as a kid. It is so sick that shitman is worse the his fart music, I regret even reading all that. While I am generally rather liberal and personally do not support death sentence, that includes smugglers and drug dealers, in cases of rape and pedofilia i am not sure what is the solution ( probably permanent stay under medical supervision) . In these cases reboot woudnt do, they need clean install of OS, hopefully will be possible in couple of years.
It happens all over the world, they realease sex offenders with a psychitrist seal and then they do again rape and abuse, if not at home they go abroad. The rich man in the 3rd world is the worst version since the damages there a far more serious and spread much wider then just one girl or family.

I showed my comments about Singapore to my girl and showed your responses in this thread to her too. Earlier today over lunch we were discussing my point of view and also yours. We came to the conclusion that the main gripe I have is that the mother was not allowed to hug the song before he was executed. Then the conversation shifted slightly and she asked me what I thought should happen to people who commit rape etc.. especially considering that sex offenders are statistically the type of criminals that are likely to commit repeat offences.rikhyray wrote:I didnt realise, till i just googled what is the Glitter story, remember being allergic that bloody song as a kid. I said I do not know much about sex offenders, We agreed that this type of offender is usually driven my a mental defect. I definately think anyone who harms the children of this world deserves the worst form of punishment that is in line with international human rights treaties. I then told her that I couldn't make a comment about rape between adults. I have never given much thought to the matter. I do believe that medical supervision and things such as sex offender lists and having to regularly report to police ala parole officer style and tracking bracelets are probably the key.
A mate's girlfriend is a forenzic psychologist who works with people in jails and whatnot, so I'd probably like to confer with her on the matter.
Anyways, rickhray, I hope we don't have any hard feelings over this matter and I removed the CAPS on the thread I made RE singapore. I know where you're coming from, but your way of getting your point across is just as offensive as anything I could have possibly said.
