Alternatives ??

Post by lezef » Thu Jan 05, 2006 7:24 pm

Hi,

There's a lot of alternatives to SuppaTrigger : livecut (freeware), glitch (20 € shareware, running only through WINXP) and of course Beat Repeat. I also heard something about bouncing delay, but very difficult to manage as a weird beat fx randomness !!
regards,

beat repeat would be perfect if they added a random order option
and a reverse function.

I will post another big blob of ideas and one part is how to get beat reapeat to be more random. Uh, basicly, make patterns with diffrent settings and have them use the 'any' follow mode so it keeps jumping between other setting uh, randomish. Realy though, Its just the offset command, I just end up manualy drawing envelope changes for things like that. Then I dont feel as bad about the whole random thing.

Anyway, just trying to work out a place to post examples. I might just have to do one of the free online things or something, maby someone will mirror it so it doesn't disapear. Either way, I'm going home.

fast fx is awesome. also check out the new ensemble "play delay" by Daniel Battaglia - set the delay to 0 and go crazy.

I really like livecut

Beat repeat I kind of use for different things - it seems a bit more "esoteric" and less "stuttery" it can still do it, just less instant

a couple of beat repeats with different settings and the tempo sync revers, assign the trigger of each plugin to the keyboard and jam, you get pretty a similar effect to supatrigga

You can do all that with multiple beat repeats and running a clip thru both forwards and reversed. (bounce reversed version and re-reverse it)

Much better to control then supertrig

Unfortunately the instajungle downloads seem to be gone.

Any ideas on availability?
