I have a Yamaha RM1X that i no longer use, and from what i undestand i can use it as controller if i assign functions such record/play /stop to the rm1 keys and knobs....could this be true. :roll:

Any instrument can be a midi controller as a long as it has a midi out port. Doesn't mean it'll always work well, and may work better if it's got some kind of editing software not internal to your hardware that allows you to edit your hardware midi functions. Anyways, try it. If it has a midi out port, hook it up to your computer, enable the port in Ableton, and if you can map a control, or play an VST, then you're in there like swimwear.. c yas.
