This actually made me laugh :-)
I tried to change my input configuration of the RME multiface in live 5.03 and after doing that, it opened live 5.01 telling me that another instance is in master mode...
come on guys, you can do betta ; )
this is not really harmful... but I remember times live was really stable... please wait before adding new features now... make impulse work like it should and make it faster and more stable!
we can do already almost anything... just has to get more stable...
peace, I love you!

Hi warabunga,
regards,

Sorry but I am confused. You changed the input configuration within Live 5.0.3 and it automatically opened the Live 5.0.1 version? Or what exactly do you mean by "it" opened Live 5.0.1...I tried to change my input configuration of the RME multiface in live 5.03 and after doing that, it opened live 5.01 telling me that another instance is in master mode...

Exactely what you said! You changed the input configuration within Live 5.0.3 and it automatically opened the Live 5.0.1 version?
Funny Behaviour, isn't it :-)
And I am very confused with live 5.03 anyways... Made a song with a certain groove, and now I can't reproduce this, cause everything is starting at different points... but that's a veeery different story... guess I have to switch back to 5.02... although... rendering is not good... so I guess I have to do certain things with certain versions... getting really confused here... actually it would be nice to be working with only one (like the newest) version... wouldn't it?
get rid of the orange dot philosophy... or make it work musically...
I have a lot of time now and I would like to produce and not debug... tnx for taking the time and making it good again!
peace s

Hi,
I just pop in for two things: I too use a RME Multiface and 5.03, and when I hit the hardware setup button, it opens the RME window as expected... Not very helpfull but still, it can give clues...
Then, regarding your last post, have you seen that thread:
http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31545
It talks about the clips starting in any place, and Stefan said they will go back to old behaviour for the next update.
Best,
amo

I forgot to specifiy that I am on a mac... there's no RME dialogue on mac, just the standard live dialogue...
I didn't read the whole thread! it's good if they change it back... but then again, they should change back the orange dot aswell... well, make something consistant and musical!
peace!

warabunga,
And does it happen always?

After which action exactly does this happen? After clicking on 'Ok' in the channel configuration dialog or after closing the preferences? You changed the input configuration within Live 5.0.3 and it automatically opened the Live 5.0.1 version?
