So I go and buy one more gig of ram BUT also I buy another hard drive. This time a Westernn digital 250gb. I install the items BUT I partition the new drive for three partitions. This was important because to seek all over a 250gb drive when there is a lot of infos on it can cause problem. So I partition to three sections.,I load up last session I having problems
NOW Ableton use a much better 150mb of ram AND SO FAR NO AUDIO DROP OUT
SO if your drive is even half full with Ableton Live you can get the problems. It also seem 1.5g Ram was not enough??? but it is looking so much and it looking like my 150gb other recording drive that has 50gb space was having the problems. I thinking that more ram and little used drive seem to work much better for Ableton live.
SO Ableton Headquarter. It is time you people making a sticky about what users should do with hard drive. This is easy things to fix for all people but yes it cost a little money BUT IS BETTER THAN THE STRESSINGS
To peoples with probelms. Try a little more ram and you MUST record on to another drive that is not nearly full and not thyree quarter full. If it is big drive partition it to easy size. THINK! do you need to record on full 200gb 100gb at one time? No, Partition to small size as possibbles. I buy 250 gb because the shop only have this size. I wanted 80gb and was to partition in half and only use 40gb for my recording drive. No song I write ever need so much as 40gb. Once I finish the song I copy to my backup drive then delete from the recording drive to have fresh drive.
So at this time I can play the song I hope this not to change and I get big performance bad.
