controlling the speed
there is a plugin called turntablist, by destroy efx.
you can place it into any audio channel, therefore just apply it to *one* soundsource, and you can even manipulate the *speed* of the slowing down / speeding up process. and many other parameters!
the plug is asignable to a controller message as well... it comes with a pdf, and is dead easy to use...
here you go. it's easy.

ABL pro is a plugin. It's not the one Richie uses. But it does the same thing and more. It really is just a simple delay with modulated time you're hearing.nicka wrote:no it is an actuall effect thats being done by a plug-in cos he has the sends on his mixer sending to live so it is a plug-in cos he uses the effect on other sources like SSL

TINHEAD FTW!Tinhead wrote:Are you sure he's not just cutting a short loop from one of the tracks he's playing with FinalScratch, not Ableton...since he always seems to use both? I'm pretty sure FinalScratch is capable of doing this (not an FS user myself)... similar to cutting a short loop with the DJM-600 sampler and gradually shortening its duration, but you can change the pitch simultaneously. That is unless you've seen him do this on a strictly Ableton setup.
have a link for that?SubFunk wrote:there is a plugin called turntablist, by destroy efx.
