there is a plugin called turntablist, by destroy efx.

you can place it into any audio channel, therefore just apply it to *one* soundsource, and you can even manipulate the *speed* of the slowing down / speeding up process. and many other parameters!

the plug is asignable to a controller message as well... it comes with a pdf, and is dead easy to use...

here you go. it's easy.

I use ABL Pro for this effect.
The fx version has that nicely modulated Richie delay.

The trick is very simple. Turn the delay to 100% and play with the delay times. (or modulate them by an LFO)
Works for me anyway.

no it is an actuall effect thats being done by a plug-in cos he has the sends on his mixer sending to live so it is a plug-in cos he uses the effect on other sources like SSL

ABL pro is a plugin. It's not the one Richie uses. But it does the same thing and more. It really is just a simple delay with modulated time you're hearing.

i don't know if he used it, but you can do this trick with Reaktor's Fast FX.

subfunk, is there a trick to get turntablist to work? i'm on a mac, so no problem there... maybe i'm not smart enough to install it!? i can see it in my browser but it ableton won't let me drag it into a channel.
