reccomended instruments with live

Post by areinitz » Thu Feb 23, 2006 5:22 pm

ok, so we can pretty much agree that the Simpler instuments sound very much like a computer generated them. Anyone reccomend some good, organic sounding instruments that you can use with live?

are you referring to the Simpler presets? why don't you pop in your own sounds and make your own presets? i don't use their presets at all - for Impulse or Simpler.

hypothetically, any sound will work well if you use the simpler correctly.

Try out the SoundWrecks or TrackTeam live fills.
Ableton’s engineers are hard
at work developing code that will allow our software to predict the future, but we don’t
anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.

Simpler kicks ass! Its my goto instrument for standard synth bass sounds.

Throw a raw sound wave thats around 40-60hz. I promiss you will get some down n dirty tones out of it.

You got that right!

What I love about it is that it's just what I need a lot of times.... load a sample, get back to the music.

Fast tools that work great!

the simpler Rules. I think the beauty about Simpler is that you dont sit there for hours looping multi-s to drop in it. You set up one phat sample - and thats all you need. The filters take care of the rest...
