Regrettably I've been away from making music (and doing anything much on my G4 & Digi 001) for a while, and recently after reading about tiger i finally decided to upgrade to OSX. So now I am now running OS 10.4.5. I have also installed Itunes 6.0.4 and quicktime 7.0.4.
It is since doing this that i realise my 001 is no longer supported by digidesign via protools on OSX, and since i also use my G4 for internet and ITunes etc I don't want to have to downgrade the OS. I don't want to sell my 001 and would prefer to use ableton live with the 001 if I can. I might try to install OS 10.3.9 on a partition just to run protools at a later date.
I've read about the Digidesign coreaudio driver that seems to (although not officially) include support for 001 on OSX Tiger and have installed this already. I have not yet installed Ableton. Does anyone have any experience of running ableton successfully through Digi 001 on OSX Tiger??
