WANTED: Computer Music Magazine - Ableton Live Special Issue

Post by )tomas( » Tue Mar 28, 2006 11:39 pm

Hey Everyone,
Is anyone willing to part with a copy of the Ableton Live Issue of Computer Music Magazine from late last year some time?
I'll pay for the magazine, plus shipping.

Computer music is sold out of backissues of this particular issue.

Thanks for helping out an excited new user!

Tomas

I saw one on the shelf at a local Borders (Dallas).

Find out how much shipping would be for our distance, add $12 for the Mag (That's how much the buggers want for it) and We'll discuss further...
15" PB 2.5 Ghz, 4 Gig RAM, 750 GB HD, Live 9 still no cue points or program change messages?!?. Doesn't do shit.

I think I have it still. What in particular interests you about it?

Everything... especially the "Hello! Magazine" look inside the Abe's compound.

Anyone (cough cough) know where it might have been (cough cough) scanned and posted on the web? :D

save your energy. its not worth getting funny in the groin over. i bought it and theres nothing in it that you wont already know if you have skimmed through the manual on the shit house. the next 'live 5 power' book might be worth a look though.

PB - You know 10 times as much as was in that worthless edition!

I skimmed through it in the bookstore and decided not to waste the cash.

Their both right PB.....I did waste my money on it....there wasn't anything ground-breaking in it....all the info you could easily find on this forum or the net or in the manual.

The article on the compound is pretty much the only thing worth payinig for. I bought it because I can't browse the forum at work and I have a problem. Between shipping and the overpirced tag, I would seriously by Ableton power 5 instead.

I do not have the Live issue, but I'd be happy to part with my Computer Music Cubase issue with the cd if anyone wants that. It came out in late 2005; Very useful.

I have yet to read an interesting article about Ableton Live that isn't totally redundant.
It's funny how these music magazines work... they approach people from this forum to write articles for them.
Then they decide that they would be better of with a pro writer that virtually doesn't know the program.

At least there will be a great article about rock solid warping somewhere soon
