I think generally the verbs effect and effectuate are interchangeable, whereas affect and effectuate are not.
So would this be an acceptible form?
The special effects had no affect on my suspension of disbelief. In effect the effects had the opposite affect of being poorly designed and ineffective?

No, cos all those cases are nouns, so they should all be 'effect'.
Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

What kind of suspension do you have?
Ableton’s engineers are hard
at work developing code that will allow our software to predict the future, but we don’t
anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.

like he said, it's a suspension of disbelief. it works by convincing you that there are no bumps.

You gotta hand it to Ropey here. Just cuts in, says what he thinks and hasn't even been back. It would be hard to hate him except that he's so douchbaggy.

Ropey's crafty. So many conspiracy theories about him and his army of alter-agos.
