wednesday the 19th Upstairs at Hive Bar Brixton London Live User group is definitely on.

Please all come, because otherwise it'll be and my lonely beer, trying to convince the management to give us another slot.

Bring whatever kit you need to have a 20 minute or so "jamslot" and towards the end we might hook up the midisplitter and have a laptop jam as suggested above.

Otherwise I'm gonna have a mailing list so we can have a bit more cohesion in case of organisational cockups (again: see above) and...although I hate them: name tags.

I'm gonna be there from 8. see y'all there.

Can't i just wear my mask!?

I'm getting a t-shirt done of the logo in the picture above, don't think it'll be ready by Wednesday though.
Perhaps I have a customer base here.

And, you won't be lonely.

Hi ,
my man forge pointed this out to me , i will defo try and get down on Wednesday to hive , an old mate of mine runs the bar who i haven t seen in a few years ,
i don't know what to expect here , but i have quite a few questions that need answers in relation to using plugins in the sequencer page, and i 'm sure it could be useful to see other systems , i have an maudio ozone sound card which i wasn't planning on bringing down as its a bit cumbersome ..

anyone give me a rundown of what usually happens here ?

god knows, this is the first one.

My plan is; turn up, drink beer, talk techy muso bollocks, drink beer, fiddle with sound system, drink beer, listen to other people's music, drink...

etc

(I suspect this goes for most of those who're coming)

Perhaps we can hire an audience to dance to the cross section of music!

How about early in the week at the end of Feb (or Friday if it's better for people - Just be wary that most places will be very busy) Say Tues 21st or 28th ?
Sounds good to me, I also fancy organising a Northern meet. How many northern Live users..? say north of Sheffield all the way up to Glasgow are there?

Post a reply if u are up for a meet in say Manchester perhaps?

Hi choci. I also am from leeds. Have you had interest? Could meet up for a drink and talk about ideas, take it from there. I'm looking to collaborate with people and put on live shows in the future. Would be cool to do one and see how it goes. If anyone's interested let me know. If it means going to manchester i guess i can live with that  . But i reckon there'spotential in the leeds area..

Peace

Sounds like a top plan to me! As I've mentioned before - I prob won't be able to contribute too much but I'm looking forward to looking at some other setups and getting some tips and ideas from you guys. See you there.

Well, nice to see that you made it in the end.

A very productive evening if I may say so!

Nice to meet all those who turned up.

I'm looking forward to next month.
"Duty Now for the Future" only for those 'eclectic' enough
