New Haven Guitarist/Ableton User Looking...

Post by CSewell » Wed Mar 08, 2006 3:10 pm

...for other musicians looking to explore the possibilities of merging acoustic music with electronic sounds/beats etc. Im imagining something like Sound Tribe Sector 9 or other down-tempo instrumental or vocal music. If anyone listens to Sirius Radio Channel 35 then thats kinda what Im shooting for. I would be interested in playing with drums, percussion, electronic musicians, keyboards or bassists. Knowledge of midi, electronic/laptop music is sorta important. If you use Live as well, all the better. This would not be a Hip Hop project so please no Rappers.
Im thinking not only would this project be creatively satisfying, but lucrative as well. This could open up gigs in previously "ungiggable" clubs and venues. Film, theatre and other production work is also on the table.
I am a guitarist with experience in live loops (Gibson Echoplex etc.) and relatively new to this genre, but I have completely immersed myself in the style. I come from a Jam band background, which is essentially loop based music anyway. Please email me if interested. Thanks
