All In One Moblie Solution (Kontakt?)

Post by Groovecake » Tue Apr 25, 2006 8:27 pm

I am looking for a good all-around soft synth solution for mobile song writing. Before I moved to an Intel Mac, I was using the Korg Legacy because I really like the MS-20 basses. Obviously, there are no "real" sounds in there. Just synths.

I am looking into Kontakt. Can anyone give me an opinion on how well it works as a plug in with Live? Are there good Moogish basses and such? It seems to be a really pro application but I would like some opinions or other suggestions.

Thanks!

Mitch

I have been using it with Live for about a month now, I really haven't checked out the moogs in it but I can tell you the drums acoustic and electric, guitars, pads, lead synths, Orchestral are excellent. It is also very stable and easy to get to know even though it can get very deep as far as sound design goes.

I give it 10/10!!

Do you mean it's stable on it's own or within Live?

Thanks!

Both, it's stable stand alone and in Live 5.

Have you listened to any NI products? I started with Absynth 3 a year ago and ended buying Komplete 3 just recently.
They really know how to make great sounding products.

I bought K3 from a authorized NI dealer on eBay, his ID is audioplayroom. He made my a smoking deal!! I'm buying Kore from him too.

Acer :) :)

Well, what other options are there for an all-in-one solution that would, basically, give me a mobile project studio?

Thanks!
