Baltimore, 4/27/06 - bSp, UPDATE, free show!!

Post by smutek » Tue Apr 04, 2006 6:51 am

Update:

Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, blackSoil Project has had to cancel the performance for this Thursday.

There will be no Ableton element, (unless I drag my tired ass onto the stage....) but Joe Kopasek and Chris Rockbourne will be mixing tunes the old fashioned way, with two technics and slabs of vinyl. bSp will definitely be missed but it is still going to be a fun night.

------------------------------------

Rahlo (aka blackSoil Project) is, in my humble opinion, one of the most positive, talented, and down right cool live users here on the forums. We're really excited to welcome him to Baltimore for a free show on April 27th!

Also playing will be Baltimore DJ's Joe Kopasek spinning breaks and Chris Rockbourne spinning house. I could not think of two more appropriate Dj's to compliment Rahlo's cool style. It's going to be an awesome night! Details below.

  • blackSoil Project (Indianapolis)

Whether you love it or hate it, one thing is for sure: hip hop music evokes emotions that demand response. In the case of Rahlo, the innovative artist behind the blackSoil project, previous images, preconceptions and expectations of what a hip hop artist are do not apply. Confidently and without reserve, Rahlo gives a clear insight into himself and the dedicated messages in his music, which encompass his own progressive and experimental style.
  • Joe Kopasek buzzlife/kidz that groove (Baltimore)

As the fearless leader of one of the east coast’s most popular and longest running deejay crews, Joe Kopasek has traveled the US and Canada pushing the break-beat sound to new heights. With a style completely unique to himself, he continuously turns heads with his record selection, smooth mixing, and ability to make even the toughest crowd dance the full duration of his set. Check Joe's latest mix here.
  • Chris Rockbourne Shorty's (Baltimore)

Baltimore local Chris Rockbourne, resident DJ at Charles Feelgoods bar Shorty’s, constantly drops the very latest in groovin, banging, funky house music. His talent and dedication shine through and his selection is sure to move the crowd.
