Hello. I am a newcomer into this scene of MIDI controllers and whatnot, so I'd like to request some help.
I recently bought the M-Audio Trigger Finger from my local guitar center, and I must say I really like it, except for the sole fact that every keypress is delayed by some measure of ms. I am using live 5.0.1 with my Trigger Finger, and whenever I MIDI Map anything, the time from the keypress to the actual sound coming from my computer is not intact, and is delayed by some ammount of ms. It pretty much throws me off when creating any type of rhythm.
So my question is: What is causing this delay? Is it because I am connecting my trigger finger to my computer via USB? Should I go ahead and buy a soundcard with a MIDI in port?
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

try using the www.asio4all.com drivers -they're free and on most systems using them dramatically reduces latency.
