recording mono audio with ozonic keyboard

whenever I record something via my ozonic keyboard whether it is voice or a guitar... it is always one channel on a stereo setting either 1 or 2. INstead of selecting a mix I choose the corect one (1 is the mic line 2 is the guitar line), however this doesn't turn it into mono, because when I play it back I only here it either on the right or left channel.... What's going on and how did I change it to a mono input?

here's a long shot. by chance do you have a trs cable (2 rings) plugged into your guitar / ozonic? i'm not sure if that would affect anything or not.
if i stumble upon a better theory, i'll post. rand

to set an input to mono, choose either 1 OR 2 from the dropdown menu below the 'ext in' on the track
