live 5: Arrange view very unresponsive at high zoom

Since version 5 the arrange view has become very unresponsive and laggy, it's especially noticeable at high zoom levels (1/64th note editing).. even the act of zooming is laggy in v5. i think similar things have been mentioned before, but i don't know if people specifically linked lagginess to high zoom levels.

In a very simple set (4 bars, 4 tracks, all clips in ram, no effects). it takes about 1-2 seconds for the gui to reflect a change when i select a different track or audio clip. It can take 3 seconds to duplicate a very short (less than a second duration) clip.

As a sanity check i just reinstalled v4.1.4, in this version the arrange view works prefectly smoothly and responsively at all zoom levels.

With v5 It's like i've been trying to run underwater all this time; i just noticed exactly how hard it is when i got out of the pool.

i hope that this issue will be fixed as a free upgrade because i can't bear to use v5 anymore due to this bug.

Have you asked support directly whether this will be fixed?
I don't think they will, but would be interested in hearing what ableton has to say about this. Its an obvious fault with the program.
