Dual Core/Core Duo and affinity with Live and Reason

Post by drez » Tue May 30, 2006 5:23 pm

Has anybody pinned Live to one CPU and Reason to another in their Dual Core/Core Duo setup? Does it run better? Any timing issues? What's the scoop?

My new Core Duo Dell Precision is coming in soon and I was curious if this setup works or not.

Thanks,

Wow. I would have thought this was tried immediately when somebody GOT their dual/duo. Surely I'm not the only person to think of it?

If so, can one of you fortunates give it a shot and report back?

I don't think one can make a computer do this... I don't know.
15" PB 2.5 Ghz, 4 Gig RAM, 750 GB HD, Live 9 still no cue points or program change messages?!?. Doesn't do shit.

The built in scheduler should do that automatically anyway. But it is a nice experiment.
