firewire correct order

Post by DaCook » Fri Jun 16, 2006 10:07 am

I'm using a powerbook 12" 1,5 GHz (with 1 port firewire), a tascam fw 1884 (2 port firewire) and a firewire hard-disk (2 port firewire): what is the correct order:
mac-tascam-harddisk
or
mac-harddisk-tascam?
and
anyone report some problem chaining firewire with ableton and mac?

I also use a fw-1884. just curious as to your experience using it with live...
Wrinkled Mac G4 dual 1.25, Tascam FW-1884, stupid Novation Remote 49, sparkely drumkits, broken studio A/C, and piles of other working junk, etc..

I'n not really satisfy. The same session works better with the powerbook soundcard (latency 1024) that with the tascam with the same latency. I don't know why, I'm still seekin the ideal setup. The D/A converter is really good, but the interaction with my mac it's not good. the firmware? bha? but I need something faster. and you?
