live demo os 9 issue- help a friend out!

Post by mimesis » Tue Dec 09, 2003 6:06 pm

my guitar player is trying to install the live 3 demo for os 9 but after it installs it says something like "live cant find the application support folder in the home directory of the user- bla bla bla permissions issue".... this sounds like an os 10 thing.... with the whole "home directory" thing. he did download the os 9 demo. he is either running 9.1 or 9.2--- does this sound familiar??

I use Live 3 on OS 9.2.2

I would get your friend to make absolutely sure he has the OS 9 version of the demo.....to be sure download it again. There shouldn't be any mention of "permissions".... ???

There is nothing to install with the Live Demo (or the full program for that matter).

You simply drag the downloaded folder off the desktop into the Drive you want to keep Live on.

Its that simple.
