Okay let's get this thing started. Colin301 can you please establish a date and book the location?
I suggest 2nd half august/1st half sept on a Thursday night or Saturday afternoon

My proposal for the agenda for the inital meeting would be:
1. introduction
2. show our work
3. learn each other cool tricks
4. exchange samples/Live sets, etc.
5. do some jamming
6. discuss how we take it from there

Yeah, I've been waiting for this! :)
I'm in a live breakbeat band. Two of or members (including me) do use Live. And we use it live on stage with two laptops.

Count me in... 8)

And off course, Holland is small, so the whole country can join in!

Oh yes, I live in Nijmegen

OT301 is closed for August but we could set up a get together in September. Easiest nights to book for this are wednesdays, so 6th or 13th September are possible dates and either one is OK for me.

We have a cinema w/ 70 seats [+ adjoining bar] and can hook up computers to video beamer and project on the screen. Costs for hiring cinema + bar for the night will be €50 - if at least 10 people come along it should be easy to split the costs between us.

I've taken an option on both 6 + 13 september. All interested to participate please reply before 5th August stating your preferred date and i'll book the night that suits the most people.

OT301 [Overtoom 301, Amsterdam] is dead easy to get to - tram #1 from Central Station stops 30mtrs from the front door [junction Jan Peter Heijestraat].

Count me in too! I prefer 13, but 6 is also possible.
Question will this also be for beginners? I don't want to hamper you people :)
In NY I visited the user group meeting and the Warper party, it was great fun! I even dragged a few collegues (not into Live) with me to the Warper contest and they loved it!

Seems like September 13th is the preferred date for the first Amsterdam User Group meeting, so i've booked the cinema at OT301 from 20:00 till 24:00 on that night.

Hope to see y'all there.

OT301,
Overtoom 301,
Amsterdam.

For anyone coming from out of town, take tram #1 from Central Station and get off at Jan Peter Heijestraat junction.
