64 Bit support

Post by Soma » Thu Aug 24, 2006 6:19 pm

With Vista, MS will only support certain features on 64 bit versions; meaning most windows users are going to be going 64 bit real soon!
Intel Mac already are all already 64 bit right?
You can bet VST's will be going 64 bit.

When will Live hit 64 bit? Before or after everyone else?
(I think Sonar got there a while ago; is Logic there already?)

I agree also, I'm currently on a 64 bit pc and it would be really nice to have ableton using that power : :D

64 Bit on OS X not before 10.5 on any app. Logic far from being there. To my knowlegde only Sonar on Win x64 is ready.

Still, I really need a 64 Bit Live. We're doing all in one machine for a while now - with all the samples etc. loaded we need more than 3 (4) GB RAM accessible - the workarounds are too cumbersome and unnecessary, given onboard 8 GB RAM (and soon much more... very soon, already avail).
