Okay, I know many people are having issues with the SL's in general and there's been many posts about this, but I can't seem to find any posts outlining exactly my issue (yes, i used the search function first)....
I am trying to use the Novation Remote25SL, which has the latest OS (1.0.15) and Live 5.2-Univ on a MacBook Pro.... I set the Remote25SL template to the 'Ableton AutoMap', launch Live5.2, make sure the settings are correct in the MIDI/Sync Prefs in Live (Input/Output/Remote Control Surface/Etc), but the Remote25SL just sits there.... with "Ableton Automap" on it's screen. Any knobs or buttons i push on the SL that would normally send a midi signal don't show up in Live (live's midi i/o meters don't respond), however, if i manually switch the SL to another random synth template, hit a key, even though nothing really works properly, Live does show that it's receiving midi data...
So, what am I missing here? Is there a way to force a handshake between Live and the SL? I posted this here, in this forum with the hopes that there may be a setting in Live that I'm missing for SL to recognize it? I know this is all supposed to be auto-everything, and "just work" but currently, I am extremely disappointed, as the only thing that's Auto is my frustration levels.
