Well between Sampler and KOMPLETE 4 you could say

There's some new plugs out there that are super BOMB

It's shame they're just trying to reinvent the wheel

battery 3 looks cool though <-- I like that kind of stuff

I really don't know what to do with the rest of that stuff

Zeta's kind of got me sprung on the synth thing right now

peace

out

precisely, pre-cise-ly.

those were my thoughts as I shut down the window. and my after thoughts were I'd sooner crack that shit, than encourage NI's business ethic by giving them money.

I've been burned by NI three times now (Spektral Delay, Absynth, and Kontakt), not giving in to them again.

No matter how bad I want Reaktor :)

that bad?

Kontakt - I tried for a while, sounded f-ing great, a little hokey to tweak on, it was unstable until I tried another version
Absynth - love it
guitar rig - cpu hog (I have a faster machine since then), some wicked tones, I also play guitar, more tone is good.
B4 - not as good as the real thing but tons o fun, sounds great to me
FM7 - another one I like along with absynth

I remember Kore got panned here too.

I figure it's a good time to get a good sampler and some soft synths with more libraries. Right now I have some free and odd stuff. I really want to dig into Reaktor too.

Can someone recommend some other options if not this?

Hehe. up untill today it's "Damn you NI, NO UB? WTF?"

Today it's "ooh, aaaah"

Fast forward 4 months....
Everybody will be complaining to Ableton again because NI just doesn't listen to the bug reports..

Call me crazy, but battery looks like a rack of simplers

The other stuff looks pretty cool. But i'm not getting anything besides Live 6 and Automat 1.0 for now. Automat will be serious business!!!
I cant live without it, the legwelt pads, layo and bushwaka hits, detroit chords...
Almost nailed those vitalic strings....

Plugins come and go, but automat is already a legend in my book.
I wonder if alphakanal has stocks

I recommend you look up emulatorX2 ....and report back on what, if anything, is missing that is a dealbreaker.

I'm trying to nail some way in the live6 beta to automate sampling my synth patches, using session view.
but some of the manual labour is impossible to escape.

emulatorx2 has this nailed. sample-robot costs like 250 dollars, and all it does is rip synth patches just like 'synth swipe' does in emulatorx2.

Maybe you dont have synths you'd like to do this with...but you could even use it with demos of synths, not too shabby.......I cant stress enough how useful it is to have something to automate this multisampling process.....its THE drag of all drags.

emulatorx2 also has this slicer jobby, ala phatmatik/recycle...

basically man, emulatorx2 is the shit.

its the only software out at the moment that I'd buy leopard for, so I could buy windows, so I could run it via bootcamp - and then buy emulatorx2 .....gah, thats alot of BS just for a sampler......but the synthswipe thing has me SOLD (well, that as well as it being a great sampler - on paper)
